1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing from BurntLines — accessible via burntlines.com and our Etsy shop — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not place an order.
BurntLines reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Orders & Custom Work
Premade Items: Items listed as “premade” or “in stock” are available for immediate purchase and will ship within 3–5 business days of payment confirmation.
Custom Orders: Custom work requires a discussion before production begins. We will confirm your design via Etsy messages before starting. Please note:
- Custom orders require full payment upfront via Etsy checkout.
- You are responsible for providing accurate text, spelling, dates, and design files.
- BurntLines is not responsible for errors submitted by the customer.
- Once production has begun, custom orders cannot be cancelled or modified.
- We reserve the right to decline orders containing offensive, illegal, or infringing content.
Design Files: We accept SVG, PDF, PNG, and AI formats for custom artwork. Raster images must be submitted at 300 DPI or higher. BurntLines may simplify or adjust artwork as needed for laser engraving compatibility, and will always confirm changes with you before proceeding.
3. Shipping & Delivery
We currently ship within the United States and to select international destinations. All shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
- Domestic (US): 3–7 business days via USPS First Class or Priority Mail.
- International: 10–21 business days. Customs delays may apply and are outside our control.
- Custom Orders: Add 7–14 business days to the above timelines for production time.
BurntLines is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs agencies, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control. Once a package has been handed to the carrier, tracking information will be provided through Etsy.
If your package is lost or arrives significantly delayed, please contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue.
4. Returns & Refunds
Premade Items: We accept returns on premade, unmodified items within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in original, unused condition. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of receiving the return in good condition.
Custom Orders: All custom orders are final sale. Because custom items are made specifically for you and cannot be resold, we do not accept returns or issue refunds unless:
- The item arrives damaged or defective due to our production error.
- The engraving does not match the approved design we confirmed with you.
- The wrong item was shipped.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please photograph the item and packaging within 7 days of delivery and contact us through Etsy. We will offer a remake or refund at our discretion based on the circumstances.
5. Intellectual Property
All original designs created by BurntLines — including patterns, illustrations, and design elements used in our premade catalog — are the sole property of BurntLines and may not be reproduced, resold, or used commercially without written permission.
By submitting custom artwork or text for engraving, you confirm that you own the rights to that content or have the necessary permission to use it. You agree to indemnify and hold BurntLines harmless against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from intellectual property infringement related to designs you have submitted.
BurntLines will not reproduce trademarked logos, copyrighted characters, or licensed artwork without proof of your authorization to use that content.
6. Limitation of Liability
BurntLines’s total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the purchase price paid for the item in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
Laser-engraved items are intended for personal use, gifting, and display. BurntLines makes no warranties regarding the suitability of engraved items for any specific industrial, commercial, food-safety, or regulated application beyond their intended decorative or personal-use purpose.
7. Privacy Policy
BurntLines collects only the information necessary to fulfill your order — your name, shipping address, and contact information as provided through Etsy’s checkout platform. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to fulfill your order (e.g., providing your address to a shipping carrier).
We may use your contact information to send order updates, respond to inquiries about your purchase, or — with your explicit consent — notify you of new products and promotions. You may opt out of any promotional communications at any time by contacting us through Etsy.
Our website (burntlines.com) does not collect payment information directly. All transactions are processed securely through Etsy’s platform, which maintains its own privacy and security practices.
